Once you have made a booking we will send you a patch test by First Class post to check you have no allergic reaction to the products used in your service. Postal patch tests should be applied using the instructions in your parcel at least 48h ahead of the hair colour service start time.
What is a patch test?
Patch testing is a procedure that should happen at least 48 hours before applying any professional hair colour. It is a simple and safe way of identifying whether the hair dye that your beauty professional intends to use could cause an allergic reaction.
The postal patch test we will send you must be applied to your skin 48 hours prior to the appointment - instructions on how to apply the patch test can be found in your parcel. If the test causes you a reaction, then the service must not go ahead and you should seek medical advice promptly.
What should I do if I have a reaction?
If you have an allergic reaction to your patch test, you should speak to a medical professional and let them know you have had an allergic reaction to the active ingredient in hair dye called Paraphenylenediamine.
Furthermore, the service should not go ahead and you should contact our Customer Delight team using the Support button on the bottom righthand side to cancel the booking.
