- Under 18 years of age
- Pregnant or Breastfeeding
- Allergy to metal (skin needling)
- Use of Roaccutane within the last 12 months
- Use if any topical or oral medication prescribed by the doctor or dermatologist for skin issues such as Acne
- Cancer/Skin Cancer 12 months post Chemotherapy/Radiotherapy treatment
- Psoriasis
- Eczema on the area
- Localised skin infections
- Low pain threshold
- Raised moles
- Keloid scarring
- Active acne
- Use of Retinol
- Blood clotting disorders
- Blood Thinning medication
- Active cold sores
- Autoimmune diseases such as: Rheumatoid / HIV/HEP B/HEP C
- Fitzpatrick scale 4-6
- Injectables 1 week before and 2 weeks after
- No numbing agents are to be used during the Million Dollar Facial
Although it is not possible to list every potential risk and complication, the above conditions are recognised as contraindications for dermaplaning treatment and must be disclosed prior to treatment.
